2018 'ALEXANDER' CHARDONNAY
2018 was one of those vintages that you write home about. Everything aligned perfectly to produce a wine we have had to ban staff from 'appreciating' too much! The 'Alexander' is our flagship white and is a traditional Chardonnay at its best. The grapes used to make this Chardonnay come from the small Alexander Block on the Ernest Hill Vineyard. Only the premium grapes were selected and hand picked.
Enjoy now, or cellar up to 5 years.
Best enjoyed when you don't have to share or a superb accompaniment to rich pate, poultry and seafood. We recommend crispy quail or fresh rainbow trout.
Named Family Wines.
Hunter Valley, New South Wales.
The wine has undergone partial barrel ferment and maturation for ten months in new French oak for richness and complexity. Already producing delicious toasted hazelnut and vanilla characters, this wine tastes as delicious as the fig, peach and lime aromas lead you to believe.
