2017 'STEVEN VINEYARD' SHIRAZ

The historic vineyard was planted in 1968. Ever since the red volcanic soils have produced some of the Hunter Valley's most outstanding wines. This 2017 vintage is a classic Hunter Valley Shiraz, with great fruit, spice and elegance. Deep crimson with purple hues in appearance, while it carries intense spice and pepper on the nose combine with rich berry aromas. Red fruit flavours of black cherries with firm tannis to provide a full bodied style with great length on the palate. A well balanced wine, consistent with the class Hunter Valley's region style of Shiraz. A medium bodied Shiraz that will drink well as a young wine but will reward those patient enough to stash it away for another 10 years.
